Providing financial relief to families battling cancer through cell phone recycling. Money raised goes to the Patient Aid Fund of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society making it easy to help a family today.
Cells for Cells recycles cell phones to raise money for families battling cancer. At the very core of why Cells for Cells exists today are the personal experiences of the founders, Jason Clements and Aaron Randel. Both Jason and Aaron lost family members to cancer in 2005 and wanted to reach out to families who are going through that same experience today. Jason says, "It was the little acts of kindness from friends and strangers that meant the most to me - the dinners, the pats on the back, the heart-felt, 'I am really sorry for your loss'."
Cells for Cells goal is to provide a little pat on the back and to say, "We went through that too and we know how you feel, we are thinking of you." Cells for Cells also recognizes the impact a small financial gift can make. We personally know two cancer patients that could not have afforded their medication if it wasn't for the Patient Aid Fund. More importantly, both are in remission today!
Donating an old cell phone is a very easy way change someone's life - maybe even save someone's life. Donate your old cell phones to Cells for Cells today.
Launched in Kansas City in 2007, Cells for Cells is now available to all Chapters of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society throughout the U.S. and Canada. Check with your local chapter for more details.
